Armenia FM meets with Israel and Finland MFA representatives

The 20th Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Council kicked off Thursday in Ukrainian capital city Kyiv.

Armenia is participating in the event by a delegation led by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, informs the Armenian MFA press service. In the morning, Nalbandian attended the meeting of the FMs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states. The FMs adopted a joint statement on the Helsinki+40 process.

Armenia’s FM also met with his Finnish counterpart Erkki Tuomioja. They exchanged views on Armenia-European Union (EU) relations. In addition, Nalbandian presented Armenia’s outlook on the avenues for resolving regional matters. Nalbandian also had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin of Israel. The interlocutors discussed the ways for developing bilateral relations.

The Armenian FM also got together with Philippe Lefort, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia. They looked into the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. Edward Nalbandian also spoke with President Ranko Krivokapić of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA). The parties discussed the OSCE PA activities and noted the importance of parliamentary cooperation.
